Adopt An Angel 2024

santa-hat-logo.png

Gateway Longview’s Adopt-an-Angel program provides Christmas gifts for children and families in our care (Angels).

When you "Adopt-An-Angel," you're giving the gift of hope to children, teenagers, and young adults and their families in need during the holiday season. Year after year, we’re thankful for the many businesses, churches, and community groups whose gifts and support offer holiday cheer for hundreds of children in Western New York.  Each gift leaves a lasting impact for our youth, from preschool through high school, to teens and young adults.

Generally each  gift is valued at around $75-$100 per child. The Gateway Longview Foundation collects the 'wishlist' from all the department/program areas and matches them up with Donors within our community who purchase the gifts.  Donors can be corporations, small businesses, church groups, community groups, families and individuals.

Gateway Longview is once again opening up this opportunity to the public! If you or your organization would like to leave a lasting mark on a child's Christmas, consider adopting angels through the purchase of gifts this Holiday season! You can select which age group you would like for your Angel and we will email you the link to the wishlist that is created on Amazon.  You can choose the amount of items for the gift bag and have them shipped directly to our Adopt an Angel headquarters.  Our volunteers will build the gift bag and have it delivered directly to the youth in time for the holiday.  Please click on the information sheet to read more.

We ask that you spend as little or as much as you are comfortable with, generally $75 per Angel.

Physical gifts are preferred for Adopt-An-Angel but we will also accept Gift Cards.  Gift Cards from Walmart, Target, Amazon or a local grocery like Tops, Wegmans, or Aldi are always needed.

Each gift leaves a lasting impact for our youth, from preschool through high school, to teens and young adults. Last year alone, Gateway Longview partnered with over 40 groups from across Western New York to fulfill over 1000 gifts.

Whether you're able to give two hours during a one-time visit, or two hours once a month to spend time with youth in care, you can be sure that your time is invested well. So much of what volunteers accomplish at Gateway Longview would not be feasible without the donated time, passion, and commitment of our community.
